Till Nightfall

A Musical Journey into the Night

After the success of its first musical production (A Show That Goes Like This) last winter, the Chaincourt Theatre Company follows this up with another revue in the summer, this time in its open-air location on the heritage-protected grounds of the Westend Campus.  During the performance, the show will use the natural progression of day into night to thematically underscore the concept of the production.  As in the first revue, Till Nightfall will feature a live band along with singers and dancers to highlight songs from a wide variety of both modern and classic musicals including My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins, West Side Story, Sweeney Todd, and Spring Awakening.

Performance dates: June 30th as well as July 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, and 9th

Location: Goethe University, Westend Campus, northwest corner behind the Main Building under the copper beech tree

Curtain: 7 p.m.

Ticket prices: 10 euros general admission, 5 euros reduced

Sales and reservations: One hour prior to show at the box office or at IG 3.257 (“Room 17”)  in the Main Building of the Westend Campus Mondays 12-16, Tuesdays 10-14, Wednesdays 10-12, and Thursdays 10-14, telephone (069) 798-32550

Poetic Voices V

On Friday, June 17, 2011, at 7:30 p.m., the IEAS’s English-language poetry evening, Poetic Voices V, will take place at Goethe-Universität’s Westend Campus, NG 1.741b. This event features student poets and musicians who recite or sing in English as well as perform instrumental music.
